OHDSI National Node Hungary

Background 

As more and more organizations are joining the OHDSI community, and the interest is growing around real-world evidence, the OHDSI National Node in Hungary aims to be a meeting point for Hungarian data partners, SMEs, and other Hungary-based organizations interested in OHDSI.

Objectives 

Mission and Vision

We aim to adopt OHDSI’s mission, vision, and values in Hungary. Our mission is to unite Hungarian stakeholders in health data science in a collaborative network, adopting the OHDSI framework to enhance data quality and support impactful research.

Specific Objectives

  • Form a Hungarian OHDSI multi-stakeholder interest group and have regular calls.
  • Mapping Hungarian codes to OMOP CDM vocabularies and maintaining the mappings.
  • Develop OMOP infrastructure for Hungarian hospitals, including ETL processes and vocabulary enhancements.
  • Assisting each other in the ETL process.
  • Discussing and handling issues related to Hungarian data security laws and ethics.
  • Participate in EMA and other international studies.
  • Initiate and participate in national research collaborations, aligning with European and global OHDSI initiatives.
