OHDSI Europe Community Calls
The OHDSI Europe Community Calls are held each second Thursday of the month at 13:00 CET. The calls bring together researchers, clinicians, and data holders from across Europe to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge.
These calls serve as a complement to the weekly OHDSI Global Community Calls on Tuesday's at 11:00 ET and provide a dedicated forum to discuss topics specifically relevant to Europe. Sessions include presentations on European collaborations and projects, updates from the National Nodes and the European community.

Forza Italia! Insights on Study Approval Process, DPIA and other research activities
The second call in the OHDSI Europe Community Calls โ National Node Series featured OHDSI Italy, introducing the National Node and its activities. The session highlighted the Italian study approval process, including the associated Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) form, ongoing OHDSI studies in Italy, and current community initiatives.

FHIR and its role in building the foundations for scalable research and evidence generation
The first call in the OHDSI Europe Community Calls โ National Node Series featured OHDSI Germany and explored the role of FHIR in building the foundations for scalable research and evidence generation. Topics included interoperability for research, the European Common Cancer Data Model and synthetic FHIR cohorts, implications for the European Health Data Space (EHDS), and the FHIR-to-OMOP perspective, with PIANO as an example of AI-supported ETL.
