General Information

The first European OHDSI Symposium called "Bridging Europe" aims to establish a European OHDSI community. The symposium is a platform to share results and ideas about the use of the OMOP-CDM, tool development, and future research studies. The day will include a collaborator showcase involving a poster session to highlight OHDSI’s research achievements and interactive demonstrations of OHDSI’s open-source software tools. We also invite people that are new to OHDSI and are interested to learn more about this exciting initiative.

The main symposium will take place on Friday March 23th 2018 at the educational center of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Target Audience:Data holders who want to apply OHDSI’s data standards to their own observational datasets and researchers who want to be aware of OHDSI’s data standards so they can leverage data in OMOP CDM format for their own research purposes.

2. OHDSI Tool Ecosystem

Faculty: Patrick Ryan, Peter Rijnbeek, Jenna Reps, Martijn Schuemie

This tutorial will in detail discuss the tool ecosystem of OHDSI with a focus on the impressive functionality in ATLAS, such as vocabulary browsing, cohort definitions, risk effect estimations, patient-level prediction, and more.

Target Audience:Data holders, researchers, and regulators who want to learn more about the exciting tools developed by the OHDSI community.
